In our article about films about slavery, we involuntarily touch upon the topic of racism. The Most High created all of us in his own likeness and divided us into several races, each of which wants to consider himself the most important and main in the world. But do not forget that all people are the same and equal in rights and responsibilities.
It is not sad to recall and talk about it, but in the world history of mankind it has developed so that at a certain period in each country there was slavery, it was simply called differently. For example, in Ukraine there was a “slave girl” when the villagers bent their backs in a field, in Russia - “farm laborers”, when people worked for the landowners, and in America African Americans worked for planters, who for some reason considered them to be people of a different sort or slaves .
Fortunately, this period in the history of the African American people has long passed, and all people, regardless of faith and skin color, have become equal and full-fledged citizens of one country. But there was a time when a white man considered himself superior to a black man and his cruelty knew no bounds. About how all this happened, many pictures were shot. We’ll talk about them today.

Finally
All these stories, one way or another, indirectly or directly, affect the theme of slavery and racism. Watching these films, interesting on the one hand (after all, this is history), and cruel on the other (after all, this is a human factor), you don’t understand how people could be so inhuman, callous and cruel. Who gave them the right to decide - who is the main and who is not, to whom to be the master, and to whom the slave, and what does the skin color have to do with it?
It is also not worth hoping that all this inequality and predominance over someone has remained in the distant past. For example, according to many international organizations, the Russian Federation today is a country where the problem of slavery is still relevant, albeit in a slightly different form. This includes illegal slave labor in places of deprivation of liberty, as well as illegal coercion to work. According to the UN, ILO, The Walk Free Foundation and the Global Slavery Index in Russia today, more than 1 million people are illegally deprived of their liberty while engaged in slave labor. But this material is for a completely different topic ...
And we, looking at these stories, can learn from them a certain morality and get a life lesson on how to treat people. We are equal inhabitants of our planet!
And in your opinion, what films about slavery should be included in this list?
